It is all the rage now: Finding your roots! This is even more so with Africans in the Diaspora.
In his article for the Huffington post, Greg Archer begun with three questions:
1. Who are we-really?
2. Where do we come from?
3. What happened before us?
and now we add one more question to this: Does it matter?
We have come so far in history that our identities are more fluid that two decades ago. One has to wonder if unraveling the myths of our past really matters. Does it make us better? Does it improve on our contribution to the world?
